Support Groups

Get to know some of the leaders

Fife

The Fife Support group is run By Claire, Lindsey and Gemma.

Reaching out for support is never easy, coming to a support group can be especially difficult if you don't know anyone or haven't been before.

Here we highlight some of the leaders of the Scottish support groups, help put a face to the name and learn a little about their journey.

Claire

I started Endometriosis Fife in 2011, when I started Endo Fife I just wanted to help even one person feel less alone. Not feel as scared, confused and alone as I did. I then joined the Endometriosis UK family in 2014 and have been volunteering as support group leader in fife since then.

I have had 5 surgeries now due to my endometriosis. One of which was a full hysterectomy when I was 33. Had my last surgery at end of September 2020.

Want everyone to remember “You have Endometriosis, it doesn’t have you”

Lindsay

I’m Lindsey, I joined Endometriosis Fife in September 2018. I help Claire to run the group online and support all the lovely ladies on it. I was diagnosed in 2016 and have had 2 surgeries to treat my endometriosis. I love to raise awareness of endo as I don’t feel enough is known about it.

Gemma

Hi my name is Gemma I have been part of the Endometriosis family since July 2021....I help run the group in Fife, I want to help people get the support and information they need so they don't go through what I went through while trying to get answers, I've become extremely passionate about it, it's the most rewarding job ever!
